Jäänlähtö= breaking up of ice; when the ice starts to break up and pull back from the shore. (Darn it dA, I just want to use my ä's and ö's in the title.. >__> Without them the title just sounds like some possibly made-up Finnish surname.)
Found this one while cleaning. I painted it last December, during the darkest time of the year, and now that I look at it again I notice I might have been a little fed up with not seeing the sun for a good couple of weeks because I was always at the uni the few hours it decided to grace the world with its presence.
Though in a way I really liked it and I was so much more productive during that time. Now that it's daylight all day and night I find it really hard to get around to doing anything...
Painted with acrylics, the painting itself is about the size of a large postcard.
